Year 5 Visit to Easingwold Library

On Tuesday, Year 5 spent the morning at Easingwold Library and were lucky enough to have the whole library to themselves!  They participated in a range of different activities including finding out about the history of the building and how a library works.
They all enjoyed choosing a book to borrow and all children in Year 5 are now proud library members. We would like to encourage the children to re-visit the library and make the most of the wonderful range of books and different authors on offer. Another great thing about the library (as well as getting to borrow high quality books for free,) is that the library can bring in any book that you request. Keep an eye out for the next ‘Reading Newsletter’ after the Easter holidays for more details on a range of exciting authors to expand the children’s reading experiences and help them choose their next books.
If you are unable to visit the library to return or exchange your book for a new one (you can borrow up to 10 at a time!) then please bring the library book back to school by Monday 23rd March and a volunteer from the library will kindly collect them from school on this occasion.
Many thanks to the Year 5 children who were an absolute joy to take on this visit. They were a credit to the school!
