I would like to congratulate the children in Class 4, who have recently completed the Archbishop of York’s Young Leaders Award. Such a project has a vital place in our school’s Christian vision to develop the whole child and to live life in all its fullness. Such fullness is not found in simply bettering ourselves but in looking to the needs of everyone and to the common good.
The aforementioned award is designed to develop young leaders and to be outward facing, enabling collaboration in teams and volunteering projects that put into practice the knowledge and characteristics being developed. The vision is to develop young people into the kind of leaders who lead by example – ‘be the change they want to see’. This is something Class 4 truly embraced…
