Following persistent rainfall yesterday, I have reluctantly taken the decision to postpone Sports Day; conditions are almost certainly likely to be very unpleasant for spectators and potentially hazardous for participants. As you can imagine, making a decision about Sports Day is very difficult. I am aware that a lot of people have booked time off work. However, my main priority is clearly the safety of the children, and the potential hazards caused by running on a wet/slippery field have resulted in this decision.
Sports Day has been rescheduled and will now take place on Wednesday 3rd July; arrangements for the day will be exactly the same as originally planned.
I apologise for this late change but believe it to be in the best interests of all those concerned.
Unfortunately, the aforementioned surface will also result in the cancellation of both Mrs. Dobson’s and Mr. Warriner’s clubs this afternoon.
