Following the snow that has fallen over night (and with the forecast for more over the rest of this week), could parents/carers please ensure that their child/children come to school with sufficiently warm clothing and boots – thank you. Would parents please bring children into school through the front entrance.
We will of course make every effort to keep the school open throughout the winter but in severe circumstances it may be necessary to close the school to ensure the health and safety of children and staff – bearing in mind several members of staff need to travel long distances to reach school.
In the event of a very heavy snow fall or hazards which may lead to a school closure, we will of course try and let parents know as soon as possible. Please listen out for information on Radio York and a post will be put on the website giving details. Hopefully this will not be necessary!
